Pentecostal leaders explore what Pentecost has to do with the church
Regents Theological College and Elim International Centre hosted the European Pentecostal Theological Association (EPTA) 2017 Conference this week. The event gathered 70 Pentecostal leaders, thinkers and academics around the theme 'What has Pentecost got to do with the church?'
Twelve academic papers were presented and discussed, covering Historical Perspectives, Leadership and Organisational Management, Old Testament Reflections, Church Planting and Mission.
Commenting on the conference, Dave Newton, Principal and Director of Training, said, "Regents Theological College in Malvern was proud to host such a prestigious event and looks forward to many of these papers being published in upcoming journals."
"The EPTA is chaired by the former principal of Regents, Dr William Atkinson, and Simo Frestadius, our Dean of Undergraduate Studies, was elected as secretary of the association."
Established in 1981, EPTA offers a forum for promoting research, active fellowship and networking, bringing together many Pentecostal educational institutions primarily in Europe and scholars from all over the world. They also promote education and reflection in the broad area of Pentecostal theology.
The next gathering of EPTA will take place in Brussels from 2-5 July 2018.
